ग़ालिब.. एक ग़ज़ल.... किसी को दे के दिल...

किसी को दे के दिल कोई, नवा- संजे-फ़ुग़ाँ क्यों हो?

न हो जब दिल ही सीने में, तो फिर मुँह में ज़ुबाँ क्यों हो?

When you parted with  heart, how with grief would you score?

When heart is not in chest, why should tongue say any more?

वो अपनी ख़ू न बदलेंगे , हम अपनी वज़ह क्यों बदलें?

सुबकसर बन के क्यों पूछें, कि हम से सरगराँ क्यो हो?

She won't leave her habit, then why should I quit mine?

Why get humiliated and ask why anger  is in store?

क़फ़स में मुझ से रूदादे चमन, कहते न डर हमदम। 

गिरी थी जिस पे कल बिजली, वो मेरा आशियाँ क्यों हो?

Do not be afraid, to talk about garden, to me in cage. 

Why should it be my nest,  struck by spark, the night before? 

यही है आज़माना, तो सताना किस को कहते हैं? 

उदू के हो गए जब तुम, तो मेरा इम्तिहाँ क्यों हो?

If it's how you verify, then how do you hurt 'n why?

If it's rival whom you love, then  why test me more' n more? 

वफ़ा कैसी? कहाँ का इश्क़? जब सर फोड़ना ठहरा! 

तो फिर ऐ संगदिल! तेरा ही संगेआस्ताँ क्यों हो? 

What loyalty 'n what love? If I have to bang my head! 

O stone hearted! Why  be it on stepping stone of your door? 

निकाला चाहता है काम क्या ता'नों से तू' 'ग़ालिब'? 

तेरे नामेहर कहने से वो तुझ पर मेहरबाँ क्यो हो? 

O Ghalib! Why do you so think? That your taunts'll turn her pink

When you call her  unkind, would kindness she restore?
