उदास रात की तन्हाइयों में रो लेते
Let me.wet eyelashes in memory of someone.
Let me in sad solitary nights cry to get undone.
दुखों का बोझ अकेले नहीं सँभलता है
कहीं वो मिलता तो उस से लिपट के रो लेते
The weight of griefs is very hard to take alone.
If he met , I 'd embrace and cry to get undone.
अगर सफ़र में हमारा भी हम-सफ़र होता
बड़ी ख़ुशी से उन्ही पत्थरों पे सो लेते
If I also had a companion in this journey.
With pleasure I' d sleep on these stones undone.
तुम्हारी राह में शाख़ों पे फूल सूख गए
कभी हवा की तरह इस तरफ़ भी हो लेते
Awaiting you, the flowers have dried out on twigs.
This way too like wind, sometime you have fun.
ये क्या कि रोज़ वही चाँदनी का बिस्तर हो
कभी तो धूप की चादर बिछा के सो लेते
Why have a moonlit bed every night for sleep?
Sometime spread a sheet of sunlight to lie in sun.
