कोई जंगल की तरफ़ शहर से आया होगा

पेड़ के काटने वालों को ये मालूम तो था
जिस्म जल जाएँगे जब सर पे न साया होगा

बिजली के तार पे बैठा हुआ हँसता पंछी
सोचता है कि वो जंगल तो पराया होगा

अपने जंगल से जो घबरा के उड़े थे प्यासे
हर सराब उन को समुंदर नज़र आया होगा
Alarmed, thirsty birds that flew from the jungle.
