मोती पलक पलक में पिरोया करेंगे हम
Tears will appear and make suffer night long.
With pearls on eyelashes, will have strings to keep.
जब दूरियों की आग दिलों को जलाएगी
जिस्मों को चाँदनी में भिगोया करेंगे हम
When the fire of distance will burn our hearts.
To soak in moonlight, our bodies we will keep.
बिन कर हर एक बज़्म का मौज़ू-ए-गुफ़्तुगू
शे'रों में तेरे ग़म को समोया करेंगे हम
After collection of headlines from each gathering.
In couplets, your grief, I will allow to creep.
मजबूरियों के ज़हर से कर लेंगे ख़ुद-कुशी
ये बुज़दिली का जुर्म भी गोया करेंगे हम
With the poison of compulsion, I 'll commit suicide.
This crime of cowardice will be on me to leap.
दिल जल रहा है ज़र्द शजर देख देख कर
अब चाहतों के बीज न बोया करेंगे हम
My heart is burning with a yellow tree in view.
Now I won't sow seeds of desire for upkeep.
गर दे गया दग़ा हमें तूफ़ान भी 'क़तील'
साहिल पे कश्तियों को डुबोया करेंगे हम
Even if the typhoon ditches us O 'Qateel' !
We will drown our boats on the shore so steep.
