मेरा रिश्ता वही आख़िर को ज़मीं से निकला
Relationship of uncertainty was traced to being certain.
Ultimately I was traced to be related with earth curtain.
मुझ को पहचान तू ऐ वक़्त मैं वो हूँ जो फ़क़त
एक ग़लती के लिए अर्श-ए-बरीं से निकला
Recognize me O continuous time that I am the one,
Who for a single fault was ousted from the high heaven.
एक मिरे आँख झपकने की ज़रा देर थी बस
वो क़रीब आता हुआ दूर कहीं से निकला
If was the blinking of my eyes that had delayed.
He was coming near by but bypassed me for certain.
एड़ियाँ मार के ज़ख़्मी भी हुए लोग मगर
कोई चश्मा नहीं ज़रख़ेज़ ज़मीं से निकला
People hurt their heels by hitting against the ground.
No spring effused from the fertile land for certain.
