रास्ते बंद हैं सब कूचा-ए-क़ातिल के सिवा

बाइस-ए-रश्क है तन्हा-रवी-ए-रह-रव-ए-शौक़
हम-सफ़र कोई नहीं दूरी-ए-मंज़िल के सिवा
Enviable is walking alone in love lane.
None to join way for far goal
in use.
हम ने दुनिया की हर इक शय से उठाया दिल को
लेकिन एक शोख़ के हंगामा-ए-महफ़िल के सिवा
I spared my heart from things of world.
But for hustle bustle of her group, loose.
तेग़ मुंसिफ़ हो जहाँ दार-ओ-रसन हों शाहिद
बे-गुनह कौन है उस शहर में क़ातिल के सिवा
Where sword is judge, and witness is gallows.
Only murderer is sinless in city for ruse.
जाने किस रंग से आई है गुलिस्ताँ में बहार
कोई नग़्मा ही नहीं शोर-ए-सलासिल के सिवा
Which way has spring stepped in garden?
But for chains noise, no song is in use.
