हज़ारों जान देते हैं बुतों की बे-वफ़ाई पर।
अगर इनमें से कोई बा-वफ़ा होता तो क्या होता ?
Thousands die for infidel lovely dames.
If one was faithful, would the future spare ?
हविस जीने की है यूँ उम्र के बेकार कटने पर।
जो हमसे आदमी का हक़ अदा होता तो क्या होता ?
Why crave for a life just going waste ?
If we added meaning to life, what 'd be there ?
ये माना बे-हिजाबाना निगाहें क़हर करती हैं।
मगर हुस्न-ए-हया परवर का आलम दूसरा होता।
Though shameless eyes are killers indeed.
But a shameful beauty was a lovely affair.
ज़बाँ के ज़ोर पर हंगामा-आराई से क्या हासिल ?
वतन में एक दिल होता मगर दर्द आश्ना होता।
What good is creating havoc by use of tongue ?
One heart in nation, but would for pain care.
