अब इस मकाँ में नया कोई दर नहीं करना 

ये काम सहल बहुत है मगर नहीं करना 

A new door in this home is not to be done. 

This work is very easy, but not to be done. 

ज़रा ही देर में क्या जाने क्या हो रात का रंग 

सो अब क़याम सर-ए-रहगुज़र नहीं करना 

This night may change it's colour in no time. 

So a journey on this route, is not to be done. 

बयाँ तो कर दूँ हक़ीक़त उस एक रात की सब 

प शर्त ये है किसी को ख़बर नहीं करना 

I may narrate the whole truth of that night. 

But condition is, telling others  is not to be done. 

रफ़ूगरी को ये मौसम है साज़गार बहुत 

हमें जुनूँ को अभी जामा-दर नहीं करना 

This season is very favourable for darning. 

In frenzy, tattering garments is not to be done. 

ख़बर है गर्म किसी क़ाफ़िले के लुटने की 

ये वाक़िआ है तो सैर - ओ - सफ़र नहीं करना

That a caravan is robbed, in air is the news. 

If it's a fact, roaming journey is not to be done
