कि माँ से घना कोई दरख़्त नहीं था।
इस पछतावे के साथ कैसे जियोगे,

और तुम्हारे पास वक़्त नहीं था !

जूते फटे पहन कर आकाश पर चढ़े थे।
सपने हमारे हरदम औक़ात से बड़े थे।
सिर काटने से पहले दुश्मन ने सिर झुकाया।
जब देखा हम निहत्थे मैदान में खड़े थे।
Wearing torn shoes, I would
climb up the sky.

लपक के चलते थे बिलकुल शरारे जैसे थे।

जैसी आँखें वैसी दुनिया, बस इतनी सी बात है
